Esperanca
Push
Lisbon, Portugal
Key Positions
Tram Station
Central area near the tram station where fights frequently break out; provides some cover with the tram structures
Rooftop High Ground
Elevated rooftops along the push path; snipers and hitscan heroes can dominate from these positions
Market Area
Open market area with stalls providing partial cover; a common engagement zone during pushes
Mega Health Pack (Side Building)
Located inside a building off the main push route; critical for sustain during fights near the robot
Narrow Alley Flank
Tight alleyway running parallel to the push path; flankers and supports use this for safe rotations
Bridge Crossover
Bridge connecting two sides of the push path; provides a high ground crossing and sightline advantage
Attack Strategy
Push the robot through the narrow Portuguese streets using the bridges and high ground for cover from the long sightlines. Take the upper balconies on the side buildings to crossfire defenders and use the multiple paths to split their attention before committing the robot through the open central plaza. As the push approaches the indoor section near the finish line, control the upper hallway and force defenders out of the high ground before committing through the final choke into the goal area.
Defense Strategy
Lock down the bridges and high ground on the side buildings with crossfire angles down onto the central plaza. Hold the upper balconies to deny attackers an elevated takeover and use the multiple paths to flex between defending the robot and contesting flanks. As the robot approaches the indoor finish, fall back to the upper hallway and the side rooms to stall the push in the cramped final stretch, with sustain compositions winning the prolonged close-range final fight.
Recommended Comp
Poke (Widowmaker, Soldier, or Ashe with Ana + Zenyatta).
Hero Picks
Tracer
— Multiple flank routes and open spaces give her freedom to harass the backline and contest the robot
Hanzo
— Elevated positions and medium-range sightlines are perfect for his Storm Arrows and wall climb
D.Va
— Mobile enough to contest high ground and protect teammates from ranged damage with Defense Matrix
Kiriko
— Teleport keeps her safe through the various buildings; suzu cleanses are valuable in open fights
Soldier: 76
— Can take high ground easily and maintain consistent damage output from rooftop positions
Tips & Tricks
- ★ Esperanca has excellent rooftop positions; heroes who can access high ground have a significant advantage
- ★ The tram station area is a common fight location; use the structures for cover during poke phases
- ★ The narrow alley flanks are great for Tracer and Genji to get behind enemy lines undetected
- ★ On push maps, the team that wins the first fight often snowballs; coordinate your ult usage carefully
- ★ The bridge crossover gives a strong angle but also makes you vulnerable; use it for quick peeks, not extended holds
